Welding
900 Hour-Day:
This is a 900 hour, full time welding production course, it is designed to educate and prepare the student to the highest level of competency in the welding field. Upon completion of the 900-hour welding course, the student will be able to enter the job market with a completed welding certificate, welding certifications, OHSA 10 certification and forklift training. The curriculum for the welding program is based on the PA Program of Study. (POS) The curriculum enables all students to meet the expected knowledge, skills, and competencies required for gainful employment in the field of study.
200 Hour-Evening:
This course is to introduce the student to the welding profession. This course is an intense teaching course designed to educate students to their highest level of competency in the welding field. The class consists of 200 hours, divided into 4-50 hour segments. Upon completion of the 200-hour course, the graduated student has met the prescribed industry standard. The certificate provided validates that the student has achieved the skills and training that the welding industry needs. The student may also become certified in forklift training and attend OSHA 10. This class will meet twice a week.
Pipe Welding-Downhill
This program provides students with the skills and knowledge for employment as a pipe welder. Pipe welders find employment in industries such as a cross-country natural gas transmission company and natural gas retailers. Successful completion of this program prepares students for the approved certification examination (API 1104) and a certification of completion. The student will also attend OSHA 10, Safe Land, First Aide, and basic forklift training. This class will meet one evening a week for 100 hours.

Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning

CORE & TYPE 1: Student will take the CORE & TYPE 1 – self paced
The student will provide a copy of the certificate to the instructor to qualify for the Type 2 and 3 testing
TYPE 2 & 3: The instructor / proctor will review the instructions for the on-line testing. The instructor may do passing verification.
MACS 609 CERTIFICATION ONLY: Appointment is necessary
MACS Section 609 Refrigerant Recycling and Recovery Certification Program

900 Hours –Day/EPA 608/EPA 609
This 900 hour, full-time day Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Certificate course is designed to educate and prepare the student to achieve a high level of competency in the HVAC field. Upon completion of this 900-hour, intense, HVAC program, the student will be able to enter the job market as an entry-level or higher technician. The curriculum for this course is based on the PA Program of Study. The curriculum includes Safety and Introduction to all types of tools, basic electricity involved in the HVAC field, soldering and brazing of pipe, sheet metal duct systems, layout and installation, and OSHA. The assessment includes both theory and hands-on skills. Students practice reasoning and problem-solving skills by troubleshooting high-efficiency gas furnaces, electric furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioning and refrigeration. Students will also be eligible to become certified in Section EPA 608 Refrigerant, Type 1, 2, 3 known as the Universal Certification and MACS Section 609 certification. |
250 Hours-Evening/EPA 608/EPA 609
This HVAC Adult Evening Course is one of the High Demand Occupations. The program is an intense and rapid paced course designed to introduce the Theory, Safety and Practical Skills to those students interested in designing, selling, manufacturing, installing and servicing HVAC equipment or Refrigeration in residential or light commercial areas. The student will undertake the EPA- Section 608 to obtain Type 1 to Type 3 residential and light commercial Refrigeration Certification (universal license) and the MACS Section 609. The students will learn theory in the classroom application. The class will also include basic electricity and intense hands-on instruction/troubleshooting on gas, oil, electric, broiler, heat pumps, and air conditioning units. The student will also attend forklift training and obtain an OSHA 10 certification.
Plumbing
Introduction to Plumbing
This course is will introduce the student to the plumbing industry. Students will become familiar with the tasks and responsibilities of the plumbing profession. The student will be working with various types of materials and applications of the plumbing industry. They will learn about the appropriate types of fittings, valves, hangers, and supports in the plumbing industry. The student will also attend forklift training and obtain an OSHA 10 certification.
Machine Production
900 Hour Day Machine Production
This 900 Hour Adult Day program prepares students to learn the Machine Production trade. The student will use manual and computerized machine equipment to cut, mill, grind, or shape metal and non-metal materials. The student will learn traditional methods and more advanced techniques such as CNC (Computer Numerical Control Machine). Also included in the class is OSHA, safety, and the understanding of hazardous materials. The student will complete the NIMS certification.
300 Hour Evening-CNC Operator
The students completing this program can expect to seek employment as a CNC programmer or operator. This instructional program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills in all aspects of shaping metal parts. The student will develop the ability to execute quantitative designs of machine products. They will also be able to identify the basic components of a CADD/CAM system. The class will allow the student to learn how to perform an infinite number of 3-D machine tool path computations necessary to produce an advanced drafting and design portfolio. The student will receive instruction on how to analyze and select appropriate materials and components for designing and manufacturing industrial products.
600 Hour Day-CNC operator
Students completing this program can expect to seek employment as a CNC programmer or operator. The instructional program prepares an individual to apply technical knowledge and skills in all aspects of shaping meal parts. The student will develop the ability to execute quantitative designs of machine products. They will also be able to identify the basic components of CADD/CAM systems. The student will learn to apply concepts from engineering. The class will allow the student to learn how to perform an infinite number of 3-D machine tool path computations necessary to produce an advanced drafting and design portfolio. The students will have instruction on how to analyze and select appropriate materials and components for designing and manufacturing industrial products as well as blueprint reading. The student will have the opportunity to take a variety of NIMS Level 1 standards certifications. The class will include an OSHA 10 certification.
Electrical
900-Hour Electrical
The electrical program takes a broad based training approach to prepare students for employment in the electrical field. Through hands-on training and classroom instruction, students learn electrical trade practices in residential, commercial, industrial fields in accordance with the National Electrical Code. From layout and assembly to installation, testing and maintenance of power systems, this program consists of broad-based training and classroom instruction. Specialty areas such as installation of high voltage lines and electrical distribution systems are also covered. The curriculum for the electrical program is based on the PA Program of Study (POS). The students will receive an OSHA 10 certification and have forklift training
300-Hour Evening
This 300- hour program prepares students to learn the electrical trade used in residential, commercial, and industry fields in accordance with the National Electric Code. From layout and assembly, to installation, testing and maintenance of power systems, this program consists of broad-based training and classroom instruction. Specialty areas such as installation of high voltage lines and electrical distribution systems are also covered. Upon completion of the program, the student will qualify for numerous entry-level positions. The student will demonstrate the ability to install different amperage systems. Also include in the class is basic forklift training and OSHA 10 General Industry.
