Want to gear up for a job as an Agriculture Mechanic, Equipment Salesperson, Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Parts Clerk, or Self-employment?
Vehicles and equipment powered by diesel engines are designed to work long and hard. It takes a skilled technician to maintain them and keep them in peak operating condition. Students in the Diesel Mechanics program learn to repair and maintain diesel engines found in pickup trucks, construction/industrial equipment, heavy trucks, marine, military, and other specialized applications.
Students are instructed in diesel engine trouble shooting, tune-up, repair/overhaul practices and procedures on two and four cylinder engines. This is accomplished with theory and hands-on experience working with Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Mack, Onan, Caterpillar, and Hatz diesel engines. Prospective students should possess mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, physical stamina, and problem solving abilities. Click here for Diesel Mechanics’ Program Guide. – Coming Soon
